How Great Northern And Echo Were Able To Solve A Tipping Problem
Echo mentioned that one of their palletized stacks of product would become tippy when stacked six high. The product is relatively light and doesn’t have enough weight to crush the flaps to make them flat, resulting in a triangular-shaped top and bottom. This was a great opportunity to provide them with a rolling-change solution!
The Solution
Cost-effective
Using existing print plates from a previous order resulted in no additional costs
Optimized Shipping
Product ships more efficiently with balanced pallet loads
Sustainability
No additional materials were needed to hold the product in place

The Bottom Line
Using the full cutting die capability of one of our machines, we offset the minor flaps on the top and bottom of the carton allowing it to fold squarely and result in a much more balanced pallet. Other than the cost of the cutting die, there were no additional costs or materials needed to provide the solution to this problem.
